More updates... lol

JC cosmo p/steering pump & brackets arrived today. Look like they will bolt up to the 12at front cover. As well as wanting a more modern steering feel, its also good because it gets rid of the giant gap where the dizzy would have been! Haha

Now to find a modern steering rack that is a close fit, and then tie rods to suit.

Also had my coils arrive today.

So now to get the motor going I need:
- Assemble megasquirt
- Make loom
- Buy injectors
- Buy JC cosmo alternator
- Find an immaculate condition 12at airbox
- New clutch/flywheel to suit FC3S gearbox
- Intake/exhaust gaskets
- Turbo drain, power steering and other lines made up

Motor is looking a bit frankenstein lol...

The JC cosmo p/steering mount/braket looks great, bolts up to the 12at front cover no dramas. No big gaping hole where the dizzy would have been.

Only prob I can see is that the viscious fan is only millimeters away from the top tensioner... so I will give me FC3S bracket a try, and bolt up the JC pump.

Want to re-install the a/c, so I will have to find a JC air con pump at a later date.

So I have been stripping down the intake/exhaust stuff - removing the standard crap I don't need like emissions and stuff.

I think this is all I need:

- Map sensor in manifold
- Intake air temp in manifold or top hat
- Throttle position sensor
- Vacuum for brake booster - remember pcv valve to stop boost!
- Vacuum for oil system x2 (breathers - one before t/b, and one after according to dad)
- Vacuum for fuel pressure regulator
- Vacuum for electronic boost controller
- Spare vacuum (dash boost gauge?)

Am going to send the top hat away to get coated once I can find somewhere that will do a custom orange. And getting the turbo front cover, and intake manifold sent of to be coated in an aluminium silver.

Have to wait on my new cleaning bath and shelves before I can do much more... lol running out of room to work on stuff!

watchin pol 10/7 your boys in blu seem much more relaxed and helpful than ours!!!!
they drop ya home if they find ya parro??? awesome!!!!
Is it true if u do a runner, and they dont catch you driving, they cant charge you with the offence??? haha
how tough are they on removing emissions crap, and like lowering/exhausts/conversions to different motors??
here trend now is leave it all looking std and block it off internally, paint everything black!!!!
even turbosmart make all black products stealth range hahaha
oh yeh if u like those mesh wheels thyre WORK Eurolines chek out WORK REZAX and WORK VX-XX (same as mine on 7)

She doesn't ride it at all :P Brought it after it had been sitting around for a year - had been dropped.

So been fixing it up, main issue was the jets being blocked up and in need of a paint/fibreglass.

And brought her the MX6, 2.5l V6 200hp, fucking goes. But have been having all sorts of issues with it... completely obliterated the thrust bearing, so did the clutch - and now its got a blown head gasket *rolls eyes*

I'm sure the most reliable cars I have ever owned are the ones I brought for the least haha

NZ is pretty easy on car modification - but they are getting stricter lately. You can get away with alot if you aren't a tool :) Pretty much you can modify to your hearts content as long as its relatively quiet and you get your mods certified so say they are safe.

If you do a runner and the cop finds you again then you can be done, yes. They also have some new laws that give them the right to take your licence for 3 months and your car for a month if they deem you used unnecessary acceleration, loss of traction, drove in a "distracting" manor... etc etc

its a mates ex race bike...its loaded, braided lines, ohlins st damp, chipped, cammed, yoshi etc..it flies!!!
still my 7 is faster woohoooo
still has race fairings but i fitted flush LEDs for indicators and tail,
and cut hole in front and glued in std headlight with windscreen bond!!!
i can toss her down the road and fix her with surfboard F/G repair kit!!!!!
but yeah i still prefer a cage of metal around me...929s feel safe n solid as
as far a defecting here, seems to get worse every year
ya cant drive a hot car in the city, or to the beach cruise spot without having a nervous breakdown
for fear of a defect notice....thats why little KE corrollas are popular with the kids here
they just reshell when they get defect notice...
a customer of mine got defect notice for being 3mm too low Eibach German LEGAL springs
here in Oz they have been able to impound ya car for HOONish behaviour for ages ?????
exept in the wet, they cant prove wheelspin was intended..lol????
