Brake Dimensions
« on: September 13, 2007, 10:18:03 PM »
Front disc: (DBA #940)

Vented
246mm diameter
56mm height (wheel hub face to rear of disc )
20mm disc thickness

Rear disc: (DBA #942)

Solid
255mm diameter
45mm height
10mm disc thickness

S3's discs are similar, but nothing is close enough for a direct swap...

Hey mate,

Sure it's a s1 cosmo? If the front indicators are in the bumper its a series-2 :)

And yeah, I have since found there are more than one width rear brake and some are vented :)

Mind measuring yours? I'll measure what I have too and maybe we can work out what came with what.

Yeah pretty sure its a series 1. Indercators not in the bumper and going by the chassis number and your spec it series 1. Will measure them for you in there near future. Bleeding the brake is on the list to do will check them then.

Just had a measure of my rear discs.

Rear disc: Vented
255mm diameter
55mm height
18mm disc thickness.

Are your rear disc loose or are they part of the hub?

Are the Rotary cars brakes bigger then the others?

Its a bit strange how mazda has put bigger diameter disc on the rear than the front. Normaly other way round.
