I've always wanted one of these since I saw the 3rotor.com website back in '94/'95 I think it was. I finally found one at Hurley Rotary in Coventry. It used to belong to the guru Eamon Hurley and was garaged at his place for about 10 years and then spent the last 18 months with Mick at their workshop. The engine hasn't been started in this time so it was sold as 'requiring a rebuild'. Eamon reckons you could probably crash start it but was worried there might be some corrosion on the plates from sitting. It was rebuilt not long prior to being laid up with Hurley seals and so I'm hoping if it does need a rebuild it will be a straightforward one (with my mate 'Oldone' doing the porting). I'm thinking I'll do the oil and turn method for a few weeks and see how it feels.
The body as you can probably see is very good. Not really any rust, just scuffs and dents here and there. The front windscreen unfortantely has a big crack. The tyres have heaps of tread but are cracked from age - Firestones, 205/60-15. She has a big bore exhaust but not sure what nic it's in, as appears at a glance to be mild steel. I'll get some pics of the interior but it's a faded red cloth. Tape player centre console thing is missing but I'll probably make a guage panel anyway. Boost guage and boost tap are there right now.
I can't wait to spend my weekend looking over her!
