Nah, it is NZ new

Cosmo series-1 4ht's got the pop-up lights, and Luce series-1's got the jailbar front.

I am pretty sure 929's came with jailbar front.

Mmmm good points! Didn't even think about the plate surround!

Considering it has the facelift tail lights, I wonder if the owner swapped the surround at the same time?

I'll ask the owner about the mirrors, as he was a mechanic in the 80's

Yeah, I think the popup front was standard on series-1 Cosmo 4hts.

Were the cars you saw in the scrap yard definately badged "Cosmo"?

Looks like you were right Levi!

It is an odd model. Seems to be a rebadged Luce, sold new in NZ. The owner has talked to some mechanics who think a few might have been imported to fill the gap when genuine 929 stocks were low...
