My 84 JDM Cosmo
« on: January 11, 2009, 12:57:05 AM »
Hi guy this is some pics of my 84 S1 cosmo. I brought about 7 years ago. It had a NA 13b in it when i brought it. Form factory it was a 12at manual. I have given it full respray, had some of the interor done S5 rx7 front seats. New lower springs and KYBs all round. Was going to put S5 13bt in it but money has been sort of late. Has been sitting in my gagarge collecting dust for past 2 years or so. Im thinking of puting N/A 13b into to get it running for a bit cheaper. Let me know what yous think.

Hey mate,

Awesome cosmo you got there!

Love that grey ahe, very nice. Nice to see a Series-2 with a popup light front too.

Where abouts are you located?

Haha it's not as tidy as it looks, but thanks :)

Yeah looking at your pics closer I notice the rear windows, which are series-1. The taillights and being an '84 confused me. As far as I know they moved to series-2's in Sept '83

Your chassis number is earlier than mine (112296), so sounds like your is just registered as an '84 but was made in '83 or earlier.

Heres a semi translated wiring diagram, you can see the coil wiring near the bottom:

Man I love that, looks so nice.

I notice in another post it has WT as the paint code... was it originally off white?

Cheers,
Aaron

Been a while since i hav done an update. Hav been a bit worryed, thought the cosmo had been deregistered  but turns out the lady at the AA just didnt have a clue. So now with a rego again there should be alot more progress! Scored some drifttecks cheep off a mate 9inch rear 8inch at the front. Let me know what you thick.
