When you get a car legal over there do you have to show the kind of hp the chasis can handle?? Over here its just a case of bolt it in and make it look tidy, make sure the car can safely stop from a hundred ks and away you go with a cert lol   Id be hoping to get around 200hp from the engine that will be powering mine

You want me to give a local dealer a ring? See if I can find a contact to go through?

I have heard rumours about 2 12AT Cosmo`s being registered in Norway (imports)
Why not try too contact some of the local rotary guru`s and ask if they can help you get in touch with the owners, if you succed and manage too get the chassie numbers of one of those cars, you can probably get a helpfull Mazda dealer too do a search for part numbers on the brakes and cross reference them with the brakes on your car, if the parts are identical a helpfull shopmanager should have no problem with giving you a signed paper that can dokument that.

Thats how i got my turboed GD Coupe legal, i dokumented that a MX6 GT could be legally registered in Norway, AND that the brakes on my 16v GD was identical too those on a MX6 GD.
That was enough too get my claimed 170hp (probably not the whole truth ) written in the registration docs)

Remember, the guys at "bilsakkyndige" are allowed too use common sense, you have just too find someone whos willing to do just that,

Yeah, I've heard about two aswell. One of them was built by Mindor @ Aukra Bilservice or something like that! I believe he imported a chassis from Japan or something... Not sure, just telling what an old guy at Mazda Molde told me. :)

I will give him a call, and call the guys at "Bilsakkyndige" to hear what they think :) Thank you!
