Hey all.

I am just wondering, how many bhp had the most powerfull 929 HB? Did anyone use a stronger chassis or was everyone the same? Does there excist any papers from Mazda which says that the chassis' are the same and how many hp it can handle?

Cheers,
Sondre

The HB 929 FE multi point injection model was 120hp. (yours)

The limited run aussie turbo FE single point injected model was more I imagine.

No difference in chassis' structurly. However, series-2 HB's had stronger diff mounts.

The rotary power ratings were:
- 12a carb 120hp
- 12a injected turbo 165hp
- 13b injected 160hp

Wow, thanks mate! So then I should be allowed to put a 165hp engine in my HB. Since there is no structural difference. It doesn't excist any documents from Mazda with this info? Will help me lots when it comes to approval.

I doubt it. My father has some racing documents for a 13b cosmo sedan, but that is it.

The only thing I could think of is a japanese cosmo Mazda workshop manual, as it must be similar to my 929 which includes chassis diagrams and measurements. Problem is, it will be in japanese.

F**k, it's allways hard to get documents like these from Mazda. BMW and Volvo owners has a much easier job than us...

Hey man, great effort! Hmm, so there is no possibility to get papers from Mazda. Oh well, hopefully we'll find some way to make it legal =)

Been talking to some other dealerships and people in the know and I might have found someone who can help.

It seems alot of dealerships just say stuff isn't available because its not cost effective for them to spend a bit of time looking stuff up.
