Yeah, on a RHD the brake master cylinder and steering components are all on the same side as an fe3 intake, or a 12at intake and exhaust. While the LHS is almost empty...

Ah, never thought about that Aaron. Makes everything a bit harder I guess :S

Thanks Atleladden ;)

One question:

I've got just one fuelpump on my car right? The one beneath the sparetire-well? It isn't a pump in the fuel-tank or something? :/

I am finally done wiring up the Megasquirt! The job wasn't that big a deal but I took my time. I tried to make it look as good as possible, when I first could... :)

I have also removed the distributor and made a butt-plug for it instead. Ignition will be controlled by a 36-1 triggerwheel from now on and I will hopefully get the wheel attatched to the crankwheel tomorrow. If so, it'll probably fire up next week on wednesday or thursdag :D

God damnit I can't wait..! I'll try to take a few pictures of some progress tonight :)

Been real slow progress the last few months, the whole car is nearly finished but has just been left behind. Real shame but the lack of money and time has made it tough to focus on the car...

Anyway, some stuff has been done. I wired up four VAG 1,8t COP's, didn't get any spark from them... Turns out I burned them by having the settings wrong in Tunerstudio. I used quite a lot of time figuring this out, ain't no master yet :P

So I took a step into a new direction coil-wise, away from the sweetness/simplisity of the COPs and onto some Corvette LS2 coils. These should hopefully produce one heck of a spark no matter what rpm and boost I put them against...! I have two more exams, both next week. So my goal is to  have a start-up within next sunday. Cross your fingers! :S

It's been running for a few days now, what a relief!! Low on cash atm, no news there(!), so it won't be tuned properly before January... It sucks but I'm so thrilled it runs it almost doesn't matter anyway :P

The inlet-manifold is in the re-making! Ever since I've started this conversion(fe3) I've been looking after a new inlet-manifold to fit the engine, as all of you know the original intake points the wrong way. After a while I got my hands on a KIA intake and bought some injectors from HbCosmo, thanks! ;) After some more research it turns out this intake is quite restrictive... Sooo, here we go again. This time I'm re-doing the original inlet-manifold. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Throttlebody is from a BMW E36 320i

New flange is finito

You'll notice we're not finished, I've just brought it home to see where to put the tb!

The rear-end is finished. Just gotta drill a hole to fit the air-temperature sensor.

The whole thing might be finished by the end of this weekend.

I'm guessing you aren't going to retain the VICS?

The plan was to cut away all unecessary metal that's down there. Not sure yet, what do you think? :) The guy welding the intake thought I should keep it.

I found it made a noticeable difference in a non-turbo FE3. It's a good system, shared by the KL- series motors too :) But I'm no expert!
